Message ❤️ Love

«Every time you act from your best self, you also elevate what is possible for those around you. We are mirrors of what can be.»

Reflection

Who in your life is silently modeling something you need to see? Have you told them?

Going deeper

Transpersonal psychology starts from a simple, radical intuition: we are not islands. Near the end of his life, Maslow spoke of self-transcendence to name exactly this: there comes a point when growing stops being a private project and becomes a way of belonging. When something in you settles, quiets, or lights up, it doesn't stay locked inside. You can hear it in your voice, feel it in your pace, see it in what you dare to say.

Think of an ordinary morning. A coworker discovers a mistake of her own and says, without drama, "I got that wrong, I'll fix it." She gives no speech. Yet something in the office loosens, and the others begin to own their mistakes with a little less fear. Nobody writes that moment down anywhere, and still the atmosphere changed. That is how mirrors work: they don't push anyone, they simply show that another way is possible.

This runs in both directions, and there is a quiet tenderness in that. Just as you are a mirror for others, there are probably people who show you, without knowing it, a version of yourself that is still being born. Jung held that what moves us most in another person is often something of our own waiting to wake up. So admiration is not comparison or debt: it is recognizing a seed. And your "best self" is not a perfection you have to police. It is the moment you act from what you value most, even if it comes out clumsy, even if it is small.

Maybe that is why small things weigh so much. You don't have to be anyone's example. A little more honesty, presence, or kindness than yesterday is enough, and then you can let that gesture travel on its own. There is great freedom in knowing your influence doesn't depend on your controlling it.
